Refund Policy

At Art That Warms The Heart, every artwork is created and shipped with the utmost care. Because our original artworks and limited edition prints are unique, our return and refund policies are designed to ensure fairness while protecting against fraudulent damage claims.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General Policy

All sales of original artworks and limited edition prints are final.
Returns are accepted only for items damaged in transit or incorrectly delivered.

2. Returns for Damaged or Defective Items

If your artwork arrives damaged, we will replace or refund it—but only after verification.

To protect the artist and the customer, and to prevent fraudulent claims, the following documentation is mandatory.

3. Mandatory Documentation for Damage Claims
To qualify for a damage refund or replacement, the customer MUST provide:
 
A. An unboxing video
  • The video must show the sealed package

  • The video must record the entire unboxing process, clearly showing:

    • Outer packaging

    • Inner wrapping

    • The artwork as it is first revealed

  • Edits, cuts, or incomplete videos cannot be accepted

 
B. Photos of the damaged areas
  • Clear, close-up images

  • Images of all four corners

  • Front and back of the artwork

 
C. Photos of the packaging materials
  • Box exterior (all sides)

  • Box interior

  • Protective wrapping, bubble wrap, and corner guards

 
D. Claim deadline

All claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
Claims submitted after 48 hours cannot be accepted, as damage may occur after unboxing.

4. Our Pre-Shipment Documentation (For Your Assurance)

A-To ensure transparency, every artwork is:

  • Photographed in high resolution before packing

  • Video recorded during the packing process

  • Sealed with tamper-evident materials

  • Inspected for perfect condition prior to dispatch

This documentation is used if any dispute arises.

 B- We also ask our courier service provider to provide image of the parcel delivered

 
5. When A Refund or Replacement Is Approved

 If your claim meets all documentation requirements, you may choose:

  • A full refund, or

  • A replacement (if available)

We will also cover return shipping for verified damage cases.

6. Non-Eligible Situations (No Refunds or Returns)

The following situations do not qualify for returns:

  • Damage reported after 48 hours of delivery

  • Claims without a proper unboxing video

  • Claims without photos of packaging

  • Artwork damaged due to mishandling after unboxing

  • Color or texture variations due to screen differences

  • Change of mind after purchase

  • Custom commissions, unless damaged on arrival

Original artworks are one-of-a-kind and cannot be returned unless transit damage is verified.

7. Original Paintings – Return Policy

Original artworks are final sale except in cases of verified transit damage.
Fraudulent claims will not be entertained.

 
8. Limited Edition Prints – Return Policy

Prints may be returned only if damaged on arrival and accompanied by all required documentation.

 
9. Refund Processing

Once approved, refunds are processed:

  • To the original payment method

  • Within 7–14 business days

  • International refunds may take longer due to banking timelines

 
10. Lost or Delayed Shipments

If a shipment is lost or severely delayed:

  • We will investigate with the courier

  • Refund or replacement will be issued only after courier confirmation

 
11. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled only if they have not been processed or shipped.

Once dispatched, cancellations are not possible.

 
12. International Orders

Customers outside India are responsible for:

  • Customs duties

  • VAT or import taxes

  • Local handling fees

These costs are not refundable.
